I hit the exposed track, door closed, with the power washer and then open the door and do the same thing with the exposed track with the door open. When its open I put towels on the interior and am very careful.

In my boat I have looked at ways to remove the door and give it a good cleaning, but the is no easy way to do it IMHO. I also find that the more it is used the easier it is to open and close.

I would love to see what others say, I this is a common problem with these larger sliding salon doors.

Any boat we have ever had with those sliding salon doors was just like that....adjusted and the cleaner the better. Seems all sorts collects in the lower track, with spiders etc at the top...... :-O
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

I am also looking for someone who has done this task! I need to repair or replace the trucks on the door and repair the screen door. I can't see how you can get to the screen door without removing the glass door?
