The 355 MY has a box located in the aft berth closet by the door entering the aft cabin, maybe the 396 MY has the same? And the original TV antenna maybe analog and not digital and that would explain none of the TV's work?

my 405 has a A/B selector swtich to change between dock and antenna. have you tried rescanning the channels to see what you are picking up? and fyi tv antennas are tv antennas. there is not a difference. i'm still using the original 1997 antenna on my 405 and a old 1980's non powered analog aerial antenna at home on the roof and get 28 digital channels all that are broadcasted in my area on my 4k 75" samsung. yes some antennas have a signal booster built in but "digital" is in the the tv tuner instead of analog tuner not the antenna as marketed as what you must have. granted a weak signal my need boosting because with digital you either have a picture or you dont unlike analog where you can see it with snow etc. issues with the tv being a analog tv (crt square box not a rectangle 16:9 format) would be issue to either replace or if the tv is good buy a external digital tuner and use that to tune in the digital channels without replacing the ole analog tv .

All of my tvs are new and digital..I have the AB switch as well. My boat also has a sea tel sat system on it. I think its in my coax wiring and connections. I have looked all over the boat for a splitter and connections.

If you're hooking the coax to a marina TV system, many of those are still analog and use different channels than those broadcast over the air. If you flip the switch from 'antenna' to 'cable', then you have to rescan the TV, or change the setting on the TV from "antenna" or "broadcast" to "catv" and rescan. Typically the marina systems are still on analog, although some may have started switching to digital. Even still, they will use different frequencies than broadcast, so you have to rescan.

and x2 on the "digital antenna' comment. You do not need a "digital" antenna to pick up broadcast signals... the antennas are functionally the same from analog to digital.

you mentioned sea tel sat are you using this? or just cable from the dock? i assume this was prior to you? i dont know if this oem from carver but when i installed my intellion sat my on my 405 i had to do a little bit of rewiring for my controller and dish receiver etc.. someone may have done this to your boat. . is there any type of controller or associated components to the sat system in a cabinet or somewhere. this may be where the oem cable input has been altered possibly. i wouldnt assume it to be bad wiring right off.
also my oem wiring and splitters and antenna booster all terminated behind the salon tv. found this when replacing that tv , you may check behind that tv or other for a access hole or panel

The doc has all digital cable installed...If I can find where the coax is split and junctions are located I can fix the problem

We had a similar problem on our Carver 356. Finally, we had the field tech person from the cable company come onboard the boat. The solution was to remove the 1999 era A/B selector switch which was not compatible with the digital signal coming through the dockside coax.
We never used the original air antenna. Removing the old technology A/B switch made sense. Clear HD signal now on three TVs.

We have the switch in the same spot. Can you tell me where your cable connection from the dock to the boat is located? We are still trying to find ours. We currently have the coax cable running from the dock box to the fly bridge where the old satellite cable is located. There's got to be an easier port to access.

The cable input is most likely in the port swim platform compartment where the electrical cables connect to the boat. There is a hinged cover like the others in there for the breaker switches have you looked in there closely
