2006 56 Voyager TV Lift Problem

Hello - after a lightning strike at the marina my 2006 56 Voyager salon TV lift no longer works and is stuck in the "down" position (stowed). Has anyone had a similar problem or had to access this lift mechanism? I can see the TV from the side by removing the stairs to the bridge, and I can access the lift controller only by removing the couch cushion at the lower helm, but I cannot figure out how to access the lift motor/mechanism itself. It looks like it may require removing the entire range and hood, but before I attempt that I thought I'd ask some other owners. Any help is appreciated - thanks!

You might want to check with Bryan Voelz at Carver. He has been a wealth of technical information to me on our 56.

Hi! We are having the same problem with our TV lift.
Wondering if you were successful in fixing it?

Thanks

Mine does that from time to time. I kill the shore power and the gen and it resets.

The lift works off AC not DC?

Sorry Viper, just realized you were asking me a question. My lift is aftermarket. It's 110 AC. When it malfunctions, it will reset and work again if I kill the AC power. I have to take the inverter offline to do this.

I would suggest checking the limit switches first. Also, remove the switch that activates up/down and bypass the switch by touching the wires, I had to replace the switch when I had similar issue.
