530 dash update

Postby Alaska 530 Voyager » March 29th, 2020, 3:47 am

Hello everyone. I am wrapping up my electronics and dash update project. I didn't want my new screens above my head so I redesigned the dash to house them. Did away with the analog gauges and brought the engine information into the N2K network, so that I can monitor the mains on any of the mfd's. Wanted to share with you all. Dave.

Nice job. Just replaced gauges on 2000 450 but went old school analog. Did you use the Noland or albacombi for the analog to nmea ?

A local Plastics shop here in Wasilla, AK made a mold of my dash and then formed the new one. Their name is CAC Plastics. Another local company named CCA Motorsport did the vinyl Carbon Fiber wrap.

I used "Yacht Devices" to bring the data onto the N2K. It required 2 Engine Gateways, 2 oil pressure sensors as my system doesn't report oil pressure to the ECM, and 2 tank adaptors to report fuel levels. This system is not online as of now as I'm still in the programming process.
