no water

Postby merks » June 22nd, 2016, 12:52 am

I get no water from any of the faucets when turned on. I had ran out of water when anchored, faucet was left on, so water only came out in spurts. Tried to add water via ski boat shower, but not enough. When tried to turn on faucet, water came out but for not long and soon started to spurt. Filled tank back at dock, but nothing came out at all, not even sputtering. Not sure if burned out pump, clogged filters or something else. Any ideas.

Start tracing it out. Pull hoses at the pump to see if tank water is getting to the pump/then after the pump. Could be air locked or pump is bad. Mike

Most pumps can run a while with no water. You most likely have a screen on the inlet of the pump. When the tank runs low you pull all of the sediment into the screen and prevent flow. As Mike said, pull the pump inlet and see if you have water there. If so pull and clean the screen. If pump runs and pumps water after cleaning, figure on cleaning all of your faucet an shower screens also.
