Good day all.
I have a 1989 3807 Aft Cabin with wetbar and icemaker.
is there a shutoff valve for the icemaker? If so, will it shutoff the faucet in the wet bar also?

Good question. I haven't been back there on this model yet. Depends on how it was set up. I've seen them plumbed in a couple of different ways; a shutoff in the line leading to the faucet after which the ice maker is teed off, so if the valve is shut off, both the sink and the ice maker have no water. Some have valves for both units; a tee off the main line with a valve in-line to the ice maker, and a valve after that for the sink. Some will have no valves at all. You'll need to remove the ice maker or maybe the fridge and take a look. Let us know what you find. Why are you asking? Problem with the ice maker?

Thanks for the info, Viper. There is a leak coming from the bottom right side of the cabinent the icemaker is in.
I don't ever intend on using it and will remove the icemaker today and see how it's configured. Will keep you posted. Thanks again.

The plastic 1/4" water lines have a tendency to get brittle over the years and crack. They sometimes also pull away from the fitting at the top that goes through the back panel into the ice making tray. You can also pull the bottom grill off and look for a leak around the water solenoid.

FYI, our ice maker and sink had no shut off. I re-plumbed everything behind ice maker with pix, installed a Watts valve just for the ice maker and then went below and founded the feed line for the ice maker and the sink and installed another Watts pix valve for the entire cabinet water supply. Now if there is a leak I can isolate that unit.

I traced the line behind a panel in the main salon.
I placed a shut valve on the main line going to the sink and icemaker.

I get a wet carpet beside aft deck ice maker/wet bar whenever water pressure is on for a while on my 406. Haven't been able to figure out how to remove the whole thing to look for the leak. I'm betting I can get help here. Thanks

We discovered the same type of issue this past weekend in our 430 with the water/refer/ice maker console. Every time we turned on the water pump, the carpeted stairs going from from the rear upper cockpit to the salon would get soaked. We suspected the ice maker was the culprit but when we removed the screws holding the sink in the console and lifted up the sink/faucet assembly, we discovered a pinhole leak in the water supply line for the sink that was putting out quite a bit of water. Put some rescue tape on it which stopped 99% of it but we will need to do some plumbing repair next weekend. Always something isn't it.

Yes it is Randy, had to Flex Seal a shower sumo last week that had a hair line crack in it. I'm now a Flex Seal believer.

What kind of unit do you have? Some have a lower front access panel that can be removed easily. There you can check if the water inlet valve or hose is leaking.
