Anyone with a 350 mariner installed a holding tank vent filter, I am thinking I may have to do this, just a little concerned about pump out restriction and the best place to install this thing.I know you can make them, almost bought the stuff, but I like the bypass feature in the big orange one ( pricey though), and don't know if that will fit in a Mariner.....fire away guys.... :help:

This one is rechargeable and you just put it inline with the vent hose:

You've probably already done something as the post is 45 days old. Just in case, I put a filter in roughly behind the sink in the galley. Pull the cushions and covers off the dining area and you can access the vent line pretty easily.

Yup, that is exactly where I ended up putting it...made one, works great so far, hardest thing to find was the charcoal and the most expensive by the way, have some in there now but would like to find the pellets, I think the air flow might be better...... :beergood:

I too built one from pvc pipe. I got the charcoal from a pet store that sells aquarium supplies.

We just installed a 'big orange' vent filter in our 99 Mariner on Saturday. We installed it underneath the dinette seat where the hot water tank sits and the vent hole goes to the port side of the boat.

We had one for years on our 2001 Four Winns 328 and it worked great.

This new to us boat (6 weeks) was very smelly. Seems it is working great for the few times we tested it.
