My forward A/C is original 16K Marine AiRRRR unit. It works pretty good, it may need a small charge but I have decided to leave alone. However, the rubber isolators for the compressor seem to be worn. Has anyone replaced these? Is there enough space to lift compressor up a tad to slide in new isolators? Any tricks I should know before attempting?

i have replaced one my original airrrr units and i cant remember how all is mounted , im sure your all over this but could be a problem if the mounting screws are rusted. is there a way to remove one at a time or are they welded to the pan? if they are welded it may not be possible to temporarily reposition the compressor and hard piping with out causing a leak unless all other attachement points for other items are loosened too.

Those rubber feet are OK at best for eliminating vibration if you ask me. I did not use them when I installed the new AC units in Midnight Sum. Instead I opted for a cut to size kneeling pad used to protect your knees when working on hard surfaces. The piece covers the entire bottom of the AC unit which still gets clamped down with your typical AC securing attachments.

If you find the same compressor isolators, loosen all the bolts and then replace them one at a time. If you have easy access to the unit, you wont have a problem.
