355 airconditioning ducting

I'm installing a 16,000 BTU until in a 1995 355 AFT. It will be installed under dinette. My book shows only a schematic of the ducting and I'm not sure I can simply follow what Carver would have done at the factory due to so many previous modifications. However, I'm interested in the supply duct location and the output locations. My issues start from a MSR (reddot) heater under the front steps and an existing electic heater under the drawer under the foward dinette seat. I'm looking at pictures of other boats and I see vents under the fwd dinette seat under the table and also some under the table on the outboard wall. These appear to rectangular and maybe returns. I'm thinking of installaing the return under the table on the outboard wall and blowing all of the cold air in a vent that replaces the heater. The product air would blow directly into the galley. I have also considered ducting the product air through the bulk head, over the Stb fuel tank and venting between the barrel chair and the the TV console. Any suggestions?

Ok, on my 356, basically the same boat, my AC unit is located underneath the forward dinette seat. The return is simply a vent in the seat, maybe 6” x 20” with a steel mesh filter on the backside of the vent housing.
As far as your vents go, sounds like a good plan where you want to place the salon vent. Mine is up high between the side window and aft cabin door, but your idea seems like a much easier fit.
My forward cabin vent is on the upper bulkhead with the bathroom, next to the window. I do not have a vent in the forward head.
