No Power to Port Ignition Switch

Great to be on here with fellow Carver owner. I'm in a small town, big lake. I would be completely on my own if it wasn't for this great forum. Anyway:
I have a 2007 45CMY. I've only owned it for 2 year now. First year no issues, just recently though I have no power to my ignition for my port engine. I have Volvo Diesel D6 engines. I have checked the following, batteries, swapped ignition with starboard engine, voltage to ignition. neutral switch on shifters is good, shifters are in neutral.. Battery is good, on the red wire coming into the ignition I'm 2.3v, on the good ignition I get 12v. When I turn on the bad (port) ignition, even to just the run position, nothing powers on. I have EVC displays and they should at least power on and of course when I turn it to start absolutely nothing happens. Been troubleshooting this for a week now, very frustrating. Any help greatly appreciated!

Don't know that exact combo, but have you checked any push-button breakers? Usually there's at least one on the engine somewhere and it feed the main ignition circuit that powers everything.

Welcome to the forum....to add ,check your grounds, Inspect, clean and refix if necessary especially on the starter electrics.

A good start anytime.

Sometimes there is a master and slave setup requiring you to turn on the ignition of one engine before you can power up the other side. Have you tried turning on the starboard engine first then try the port side?

km1125, thanks for you reply, I do know where that breaker is, I have made sure that it is pushed in, but I hadn't thought about checking to see if there is power to it and coming out of it. Thanks for this1

Viper, thanks for reminding me of this. The previous owner did mention something about this, maybe I've been lucky and always started the correct engine all the time. I'll will try this and post my results

So again thank you everyone for your help on this. I printed this off and took it to the boat with me. Went through everything , but still no power. I was able to finally find a schematic for the electrical and that is helping a lot. It may be something with the EVC and the helm control unit. I ran out of time to try and find that one on the bridge. I'll look more into that this weekend. If anybody on here has had any experience with the Volvo EVC system please let me know. I have 2 EVC lcd displays and the one one for the port engine has lost it's software. it's been that way a while and I haven't had any issues with the engine. I've been running both engine on the one good display. Didn't know if maybe over time this messes with the EVC system or not. In the schematic the harness connected to the ignition runs directly to the helm control unit which is a node of the EVC system. I appreciate any feedback on this and I'll keep posting updates, maybe if we get it figured out it will help out somebody else.

Have the the same year and same engines with EVC and the same displays. (displays work fine and always have) Had an issue when I purchased the boat however I made sure the previous owner would warranty the problem as it was a known issue. Came to the point where there was no power to an engine.

Have you tried swapping the EVC units to see if this corrects the issue. This is what I did and I isolated the problem so the Volvo tech would not need to spend days doing a bunch of stuff on my dime. Ended up being an EVC module, can't remember the term for it but the one closest to the engines, not up at the helm. These need to bought through Volvo and programmed for your specific engine at Volvo for it to function. Unfortunately not a simple DIY installation.
