1981 Monterrey. Shore power not working, I have no power to anything.. I tested the cord and it is working, I also checked the fuses by the battery switch and tried to reset the main to see if that was the problem, they are all good. Is there a switch or main fuse that controls the shore power?

There is often a breaker near the shore power connection on the boat.

The breaker box on most boats have 2 sides...a 12v side and a 120v side. Each side has a main breaker switch as well as smaller, more specific breaker switches. Make sure all are on. I doubt you have any fuses, only breakers.

On an 80's boat he has fuses for 12v and breakers for 120v.

Not sure if you fixed your power problem as yet.

If your boat has a generator, you should have an automatic relay that will switch from generator to shore power, as a safety, so you never draw power from both.

On a number of occasions on my 356, I used the generator and when I shut the genny down and switched to shore power, it did not work. The problem was the relay did not trip over to shore power as it was stuck.

I corrected the problem with a slight hit to the face of the panel with the side of my fist. It knocked the relay free and the shore power was able to connect to the panel again.

If this is the issue, you should get that replaced or give it a knock if it happens again what ever you happy with.

We never heard back from the OP, think it was one of those hit and run things. Only 1 post on March 28th the same day he joined asking about a Monterey boat not that brand matters but not too many people here would be familiar with the electrical setup on it. Be more than happy to help but a little feedback to know you are still around would sure help.
