Quick question...why are you replacing? Only 5-6 years old, so they should still be in good shape. Are you replacing with the same?

I am looking to change to Blue lighting if possible. 2 of 4 cockpit courtesy lights started to dim so I replaced them with blue lighting.

Are you replacing the fixture or just the bulb?

Blue light looks cool but brings in bugs from miles away it seems. I installed blue lights for one season, and then went back to white.
At least with the white you can see what you are doing.

You may want to consider checking your area regulations. Blue lights in some areas are restricted to law enforcement vessels only. Sitting at the dock should not be an issue, but lights on while running could draw some unwanted attention.
