Having any battery monitor will help you with knowing the battery state better than anything. I have a victron but if that ones a good price with similar features I'd go for it.

Or, I can go bluetooth. Victron has one.

I kept it simple when I converted to lithium. Got the Victron Energy smart shunt which does everything you really need to know through your smartphone as opposed to a gauge. Since I had other Victron stuff everything communicates and is also on my phone under one app.

Yes, it is a very simple solution. Thats the model I was looking at. Seems very user friendly for sure. Not that more expensive than the others. Also, the Victron one that is not blue tooth but looks like a dial gauge seems nice also. If I went that route, replace the analog gauge that is there, why couldn't I just connect the shunt at the main battery switch right near the gauge in the dc control box? That would also be a simple set up. Just thinking before I pull the trigger.

Pep........ The shunt has to be installed in the neg cable between the battery bank you want to monitor and all the load grounds for that bank.
