Santego 3867 DC panel

Postby bobwhorn » September 23rd, 2023, 12:23 pm

The DC panel has two main breakers labeled: DC Main #1 and DC Main #2. But the battery switch only has one output, so what is the function of the two DC Main breakers?
Thanks,
Bob

Usually sub-dividing the main feed into two smaller feeds with separate protection.

I had two 50A main breakers each feeding a string of smaller breakers. One row was primarily "house" things like lights and the refrigerator. The other row had things like pumps (potable and bilge), heads, and horn.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Just had never seen that done like that.
