Overhead lights in my 33Aft Cabin

Postby mparks813 » June 19th, 2024, 9:19 am

All,
I have 6 overhead lights that take the 1004 incandescent battery (like the old turn signal batteries in cars).
I have successfully replaced 3 of them with these LEDs:
"VEHICODE 1076 1142 LED Bulb Soft Warm White for RV Interior 1004 90 12V BA15D Marine Navigation Anchor Stern Bow Courtesy Light 68 78 96 1176 Lamp" from Amazon

However, 3 of them will not work. They work with the old incandescent but not the new bulbs.

Oh, and one of the bulbs that does work had the wires that were soldered to LED bulb leads??

Any thoughts?
TIA
Matt

LED lights are quite often polarity dependant. Have you tried reversing the leads to see if they light up?

Midnight sun, you’re a genius!! Thank you. Went out today. Tried the bulbs, no joy. Then I rotated the bulbs, and they worked. Thank you
