After a year long project, I have my steps mounted on the swim platform. Need to add a step into the transom and finish bending and welding the railings after that. But the majority of my project is complete.

Waybomb, Lyndon,

Thanks. Yes, I fabricated the ss out of odds and ends I had laying around. :captain2:

She looks awesome. Spiral stairs are on my radar but holding off until I extend my platform first to make it a little more useful. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to make a fiberglass one or have someone weld up a SS unit.

I contacted Carver to see if they had the manufacturer and part number. Unfortunately, it was actually Carver that manufactured the optional aluminum ones commonly seen but they got rid of all the drawings for this model  which is a little hard to take in this day and age when everything can be converted to an electronic file. Given that most manufacturers claim to produce a product that will outlast its competition, one would think that they would at least make every effort to support owners wishing to carry and extend the life of the brand! That means providing support in one form or another. I suspect if the stair manufacturer was a third party, they'd likely still have the specs. Having said all that, Carver has been pretty helpfull with a few other things I needed. They have always been quick to get back to me with answers.

Okay, that's my rant for today ;-)
