Good day to everyone!!! We would like to know if anyone has redone their dash panels. We would like to update ours by going to the burl wood look. Has anyone used a wrap? Seen wrap on many sites and also some places selling the actual panels which would have to be cut , which, seems to be a lot of work for all the switches etc...Thanks for any input.

Yes, I have used a wrap. Super easy to do and super cheap.
I have just ordered all brand new switches for my 506 from Carver and will be wrapping a small portion of my dash as well.

Wrap is great as it can be temporary or permanent. My wife wanted a more modern, less wood in the galley so we wrapped the cupboard door, drawers, fridge and freezer in black. Looks stunning and if we decide one day to bring the wood look back just peel it off.

also added the mini cleats instead of those boring round drawer pulls.

Like the job you did Hans. Looks like I'll be going the wrap route. I have to repair the panels as the PO did some funky cutting to it. Gonna try.

The only advice I can give you is if you do repair work make sure you fill and finish perfectly as all small defects will show up through the wrap. In other words, don't expect it to hide blemishes/scratches.
