Well today was the beginning. Day 1, so to speak. It has been raining here so I covered the windows with plastic and just started the first of many cleanings. Her name is going to be AEGIR, (Norse God of the Sea), any way I'm dropping some pics of her as will update as I go along.

Cool boat, I have a 1977 Santa Cruz too, love it. They are relatively easy to work on.

Looks like a cool project, enjoy.

The interior on this looks a lot like an old Trojan I used to have. Is that a refrigerator in there or is it just an icebox? I had thought about putting a bridge up on that boat and it probably would have looked a lot like yours. Can't wait to see more pics as you work your way through!

Yes it's a fridge. I will have to replace it and update the stove top. Remove old counter top as well.

Very nice. Hope you're making out well with yours. I have a 1976 in fairly good shape. Redoing some windows this year. We spend a week at a time on our out on the water at differant anchorages.
Hope yours turns out well.

It is now a year later, how has your refit gone? I owned my 1977 2566 for 33 years and had made a bunch of little tweaks and improvements to her. I'd love to see your progress.
