After 28 years, it was time for carpet replacement on our 390CPMY. What started out as sea foam green, had faded to gray, and was just plain gross. I tackled this project head first, and in two weekends and a day, it is now completed. Removed old carpet, cement was all dried up, just those pesky staples that were needing removal. Used some of the old stuff as a pattern, or just measured and cut…carefully! Here are the photos along the way to completion.

I thank you and being my first time I am over the top with it. Best thing I did was take a torch and singe the edges before putting it down so it it like it is bound and not shedding.

Admiral is a watching me to make sure I take the shoes off! Tomorrow I will post photos of the UVA Amazon foam in the dinette area. Just a word of caution….USE EXTRA cement! I used 3M spray adhesive over the cement on their. For the hatch piece I am using WeldWood contact cement. NOT enough stick on the stuff applied to the UVA foam! Pics to follow!
