If those bars have only green wires they are for the bonding system connections not for providing 12v returns. The negative system is operationally separate from the bonding side. Yes the 12 volt ground side is connected to the bonding side but only for bonding purposes for example underwater metal corrosion/electrolysis control. Sorry but this is more complicated than can be written in a short post.

Ya you shouldn't be using the bonding system busbars that are located throughout the vessel (green wires as mentioned) for the ground side of DC circuits.

I really appreciate it. I have to say, that the wiring in the engine room is done really well on my 406. It's neatly organized and covered in a wire management trough. The toilet is working well so far!!

My 405 has only the negative bus behind the electrical ac panel at the port side dinette, no fwd bus, that I have ever found. Yourszhould also be there

Nothing in the stern either only bus is in the electrical panel
