Hi guys - new to the forum but I have a question about my 2001 396. How do you remove the salon bulbs?

The lenses should turn slightly and pull down. The bulbs are a two prong G4 type bulb that just pushes into the socket. Take care with the new bulb in not getting any body oils on them as it shortens the bulb life

Best advice here is.... when you take them out throw them in the trash and replace them with LED.

A great tip to remove the ring is to use a small oil filter wrench - the type that decreases in diameter the more you turn it.

Hi everyone - 2 questions for ya - does anyone know what color best matches the engine white on my 396? And where in the world is the reservoir for the hydraulic steering?

The fill port should be on the dash at the helm I do believe just to your right of center. Call a cummings dealer and they should be able to give you the color code for that engine. Don't know why a satin white restoleum wouldn't be pretty close. Check the Carver web site, they have a lot of parts diagrams. Mike
