Hi all,
My husband and I recently traded our 2004 Four Winns 248 Vista for a 1995 Carver Mariner 330 - looking for more room to move around when we have guests.
It needs some work. Bought it in NJ and we are at a marina in Northern Maryland. Tried to move it down and got as far as LBI when had some engine trouble and we're wintering in Beach Haven, NJ for some TLC.
Very excited about learning about our new boat and looking forward to great memories.
We'd love to chat w/ anyone who has a 330 Mariner of approximately the same age for tips.

Congrats. You will love your new boat. We have a 1996 Mariner 33 and love it. The perfect boat for a lot of people and a cruise. We’ve been very fortunate and had no trouble other than regular maintenance. It had been well looked after before we bought it. Good luck and happy boating.

Hi,
I'm Mike of Mike and Kim. There is much more to my "3 hour tour, a 3 hour tour" than Kim knows about. Long story short, suffered and exhaust leak on the port engine, water spraying everywhere in the engine compartment. :captain: I'll post some more in the mechanical area of the forum. Like Kim, I'm hoping some TLC and she'll be fine. Wish us luck... lots and lots of luck

Congrats on the new toy. When buying a used boat one has to expect some things will crop up. Earlier this year I had to rebuild my port transmission. It broke down on me last year and cut my season short. Got it fixed over this past winter and this season was, fingers crossed, trouble free. Put 54 hours on my Carver this past season and looking forward to the next.

Believe me, that goes for NEW boats of all brands too.

Of course, but with new boats at least they are covered by warranty for a period of time. I have owned 10 boats of which 5 were purchased new. I only had one new boat problem with those 5 boats and that problem was not a manufacturers issue but something the dealer added on before I took delivery of the boat.

I guess I was one of the lucky ones.
