Hi All,
Very exited to splash our recently purchased 1986 Carver Voyager 2827. My wife and I have been recreational boating for many years. We both enjoy being on the waters of Eastern Lake Ontario. The hope is that with a larger vessel we will be able to spend more of our short summers on the water. Any and all comments or suggestion would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard.
Your username got my attention right away. Is Esmeralda the name of the boat? It's a popular Portuguese and Spanish name. Why Esmeralda? Is it in reference to the character in Hunchback of Norte Dame, the emerald gem the name originated from, your better half?

Viper,
You are correct. This will be the name of our boat.Esmeralda was the first proposed boat name to the wife. The name was agreed apon with no contest (rare).
It seamed appropriate. As a young boy my dogs name was Esmeralda. Possibly memorial to a boys best friend who happened to pass near the same time this vessel was manufactured. I am also a little obsessed with the color green. Emerald gems are a favorite of mine. A classic name for a classic boat.
No doubt this will be our new "Sanctuary!".

Welcome Aboard. With the bigger boat you will most certainly begin new adventures. That's a great sized boat for the waters you will traverse. Hope your summer is not to short and you have a great season. By the way, we all love pics here so share away.

She is finally out of dry storage and in the water. The shake down run went relitivy smooth. The only issue was no response from the upper helm. Thank fully I had an experienced boater with me to navigate the windy marina just using the transmissions. I have a laundry list of question. Most I will figure out. I will sift through previous post for answers before I ask for help.
Here she is, Esmeralda.
