I am new to boating but anxious to learn.
I have an old 83 Carver 3207 that I got for what I think was a decent price.
The boat is in a slip on Dale Hollow lake but I live in Florida so I bought a month ago and just this week I was able to take some time and come up to thoroughly go through the boat. I have made a list of things that need to be made better but I have run into some problems electrically. When I walked through the boat prior to purchase I didn’t notice how the previous owner turned everything on and off so I have struggled through. I have shore power operational and the 1st night I had interior lights and could flush the head now I cant does anyone know what I did to cause this ?

Welcome aboard Jim.
Could be a number of things but start with the simple stuff first; are all the breakers turned on at the electrical panel? Is your charger turned on? Maybe batteries aren't being charged and are dead. Is the boat still plugged in and are you sure you have AC power?

Jim, we really like pictures here ;-) Congrats on your new acquisition, and the leap into boat ownership and fun on the water. There's some great memories ahead.

Welcome aboard. You have the bigger sister to my 81 3007. Like Viper said make sure all the breakers are on. Check the gauge on your electrical power board and make sure the electricity is making it to the boat. I once had a shorepower cord go bad for whatever reason and I was plugged in but not getting power to the boat. A new shorepower cord solved the problem.

Check the simple stuff first then if still no power then start looking further into the electrical system. Hope you solve your problems and get to have a wonderful and fun season. The 3207 is a nice boat and I am amazed at how much larger they are when compared to my 3007.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forum and Carver, Jim.....good advice above, seeing as how you are new to all this, see if you can find a manual for your boat, maybe online or from Carver.... there is good info in them to start you off... :beergood:
