Hello all I am the new owner of an old Carver 1977 or 1978 2566. I am currently in the process of remodeling it and getting all back up to snuff. I am located in Central Florida and plan on doing some inshore and offshore trips once I get the everything fixed up. Love the Carver styling so far!
Please forgive me if ask any dumb questions....first big boat.
Please let me know what your best upgrade, performance or remodeling concept was for this model boat

Welcome Aboard. There are no dumb questions. The only "dumb" question would be the one you do not ask so ask away.

Right there with you. Purchased a 1976 Carver Mariner 3396 in May. Gutted the inside, new flooring, new wall carpet, new curtains and cushions. Now working on the outside and the mechanical. It's in the water and trying to get it pulled to get one of the transmissions replaced. Getting service is my biggest challenge so far. Love the classy look!

Gmnellis,
Just curious mine had carpet on the hull walls but it was stripped out thank God. Was thinking of using Eva foam like seadeck that has a teak like pattern. Wondering what you did and how it turned out. I'm trying to figure out if the adhesive backing it comes with will be enough to hold it or if I should use something else as well.
