Hello All,

I've just bought a 2019 Carver C36 Command Bridge. This is my first boat. I'm very ignorant but want to learn from all of you. Thank you in advance. I'm very excited.

The boat is en route to Miami so I don't have the manual. I'm getting power at my dock set up. The boat comes with short power cables, but I need to know the amperage. Anybody know?

Peter
Miami

According to the spec sheet you are supposed to have 30 amp service. I would assume dual 30a inlets. You may have a preferred option though which may change this to 50A service. I suggest you contact the dealer/broker to inform you exactly as to what you need. Welcome to Carver. :captain2: https://carveryachts.blob.core.windows. ... -sheet.pdf

If I had to bet, I'd bet $100 that you had dual 30 amp service on your boat. One just for AC service and one for the house (everything else).
You can either have two 30 amp outlets at your dock or if you buy a splitter, you could have one, 50 amp, 240v outlet. Plug your splitter into it and then plug your two 30 amp plugs into it.

Welcome! WOW - really nice first boat. You could also go with a splitter that has 2 30 amp boat connections, and 1 30 amp post connection. Sometimes a 50 amp post is not available at some marinas. Will limit your total electrical available though. The cables that come with the boat should be at least 50 ft long. 8-) er
