I am looking to purchase a 2001 46 ft. Carver aft cabin. I need to run her up to Lake Champlain. During the trip we will need to go under two low bridges with a clearance of 17 feet 3 inches. This particular boat has a hardtop cover on the bridge. Does anyone know the measurement from waterline to the top of the hard cover?

Does the boat have anything mounted above the hard top like maybe a radar dome?

The 466 is 19' 5". The 444 is 18'. Both are 46 long so not sure which actual model you are referencing. 8-) er

No just the hard top. I need the measurement from the hardtop to the waterline.

2001 Carver 466 Aft Cabin Motor Yacht is the boat I am looking to purchase. I can find measurements for the height of the boat on brochures but it is referring to the boat on a trailer on a highway. I need the measurement from the bridge hard top to the waterline.
Thanks

My guess is you will have to physically measure it......no telling what is on top and the hardtop may be fitted differently, how the boat sits in the water....these are all factors to get an accurate to waterline measurement.....good luck with your purchase.

1966billprice, the specs shown under bridge clearance on the link provided by cooler are not highway bridge clearances, but your air draft or height above the waterline. Now as Waybomb and Bud mentioned it is best to actually measure you specific vessel, so that you get your actual height. As it may vary depending on how full your tanks are, how much stuff and weight you have added aboard. The specs in the brochures and spec sheets get you within the general range, but each and ever vessel will be different.
