New Carver owner.
Purchased a beautiful 1989 Carver 2357 Montego and have a question.
Where do you purchase replacement gauges and gauge backing mounting pieces, the inscriptions have worn away. Thanks

Can't help directly but would like to advise that you gather some information on the gauges you find to know for sure that they will show what they need to.
On my upper helm, the RPM is way out of the world as we know it. WOT is showing impossibly high RPM.
Those are chinese knock-offs. And I did not find a way to adjust the scale.
The lower helm is original and shows more realistic figures so the engines are OK but it's just not right and annoying because sometimes you sense some trouble and want to know facts and not recalculate too much.

Welcome aboard.
You can get gauges just about anywhere. On-line, marine retailers, etc. Just make sure they're good quality sealed units or you'll be replacing them again. You'll need to find out what type of gauges you currently have so that the new ones you get will work with the resistance specs of your current senders or they won't work properly. There are a couple of regularly used standards. The mounting hardware is usually included with the gauges unless there was some sort of proprietary mounting system used by Carver which I don't think is the case. Hopefully another Montego member will chime in on their experience with what was used in that model and vintage.

The vast majority of gauges originally installed were VDO brand. Easy to find. good luck!
