Re: Transmission bearing replacement
Firstly, you need find the cause of the vibration. where is the slop you're talking about? Your title indicates you suspect a transmission bearing. How did you come to this conclusion? It's more likely to be your running gear or an alignment issue. Could be the prop, bent strut or strut alignment, bad strut bearing, bent shaft, engine misalignment, etc. To assess some of these the boat will have to be out of the water.
