Princess Dual Burner Stove Top Removal

Postby Midnightsun » July 4th, 2016, 7:13 am

I want to remove the existing unit and replace it with an induction style unit. How is the unit secure place? Is it simply double sticky tape glued down or are there fasteners underneath. I would like to not have to pull the fridge if not required.
Cheers, Hans

Mine is an older vintage but it has two screws on the left and right sides beside the burners, and a bracket with screws at the very bottom under the oven, looks like part of the trim that I suspect holds the bottom in place.

I experimented yesterday and slid a blade underneath cutting the adhesive and she popped right out. I have always hated how slow these things are. For anyone interested, this unit is faster than a butane stove and is slightly bigger by about 1" all around. All that needs to be done is to open the counter up a little bigger and lay her in. Uses the same standard 110v power from the original. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/True-Induction-S ... yXjqexhViw

Add a couple of these silicone mats and the pots stick like glue instead of sliding around like crazy. https://www.amazon.com/True-Induction-N ... B00HZ0QD68
