The 2017 season is over. I thought it would be interesting to crunch some of the numbers. Now looking forward to 2018.

I started the year with "every intention" of keeping accurate expense records this year. However, I fell short once again. I do believe I'm in the $13K to $14K range. I did have an unexpected $1500.00 repair. 45 hrs. on the hour meter this year - didn't calculate miles. Average gallons per hour = approx. 20. That of course includes wake zones, docking etc. Enjoyed every minute on the boat and that includes the time spent with maintenance and repair. Can't wait to do it again!

I'm with you. Only 4 months till launch. This is actually the first year I kept such detailed records. Last year I tracked expenses but did not break it down. This year I tracked miles traveled, fuel used and then crunched the numbers. It is worth what we spend for sure. When it gets to a point where it is no longer worth the cost it will be time to sell the boat. Hope that is not some time soon.

Again this year I stropped tracking expenses around July. I am afraid I really don't want to know how much I spent.
I will try again in 2018. I have already paid winter storage for this year and paid the slip in fill for next year, so it shouldn't look as bad in 2018!
