2019 Carver C52

Postby Serendipity » September 13th, 2018, 1:01 pm

So this is the new 2019 Carver C52 sitting waiting for the show to start. Futuristic yes, cutting edge yes, but none of us would shell out big bucks for an everyday car that looked 20 years old. So I am okay with the new look.
The biggest positive I see is the simple fact Carver still is making boats as this is not a Marquis. Look on the side of the boat because it says Carver.
So Carver has my support :usa:

Yes bud37, it doesn't take very long does it. I am wishing I had bought something with an enclosed aft cabin. Something like a Californian but I am happy with my 42ft 405.
I need to learn to handle it first, then upgrade. I created the Carveryachtowners Instagram page just for more pics and knowledge and I posted it there as well.

Anyone you know of enclose a 405 with polycarbonate? Would the weight make that much of a difference if I enclosed the area under the hard top with fiberglass molds?

Just thinking at the moment :beergood:

Definitely a nice yacht. I would have to win the lottery to even think about something like that.

I gotta wonder how those big side Windows react to a dock hit.
Thanks

Got me thinking, Where does one deploy the fenders with all the window real estate on the side!

Personally I do not like all those windows in the sides of the hull in many of the new boats. We all know that hulls flex. One has to wonder how soon those windows will start to leak. Also, as mentioned above, what about a dock hit on the side of the hull. How will the windows hold up to that.

I guess it's just not my cup of tea so to speak.
