I could live aboard my boat if I had to. Would like a bit bigger but it would be doable.

I am a little spoiled as my home is rather big. Heck even a few weeks on a cruise ship things get tiny and confined. A week or a month or 2 no problem but year round, not for me. If you would have asked me this when I was 25 I would be yes, yes, yes.

Exactly, At first it would be great, but, by human nature, we would be spinning in circles soon after. But I would like to give it a try.

If I was moving around and/or traveling I think it would be easier than just living at one dock all the time. But probably not forever. I'd be missing my garage too much.

It would definitely be a drastic change in lifestyle for sure. I know a few who are permanent liveaboards and they love it.
I would definitely have to find a way to fit my 65" 4K TV onboard though.

At this stage of life a definite NO.......when we were a lot younger the romantic idea of living on a boat was appealing......but now....What would you do with all your STUFF ??.... We can't even have a garage sale...
I think if we were in a different part of world and with a 50' trawler/pilothouse style boat , then it may be possible but again, where do you put the STUFF....

.....

We spend the summer on our boat. Overall, it's enjoyable.
Last year we thought it would be nice to if we had a place on land to get away from the boat now & then. We are thinking about downsizing and getting an apartment or condo.

We moved aboard our boat full time 4 years ago. We love it. There are challenges. Some big things we miss: an oven. We have a convection microwave. It does ok , but it isn't the same. Laundry, our boat came with a washer and dryer. We took them out to make room for dressers. I miss my garage. There is limited storage so we have a storage unit nearby. In the winter we shrink wrap with clear so we have plenty of light. As long as we have power and water we are happy. We still go out on weekends. We love our dock mates, but look forward to Sunday night when things quiet down. We won't do it forever, but have no plans to change.
