My Carver is finally wrapped up for the winter nap. Hopefully in about 4 months the wrap will come off and a new season will begin. Such is life in the Great White North.
Looking forward to some warmer weather when I arrive in Florida on December 26th for a weeks vacation.

Small world, heading to Florida Dec 26th! Ft Myers Beach.

Will rent a 20' Grady White like we always do and head out to a secluded beach. A trip to Key West is also in order to get in some snorkling.

How long have you been doing that? We explored doing that last time we were down there but never made the plunge. Lots of questions regarding insurance coverage. How well do you know the waters down there?

Been going there since my dad bought a condo at Ft Myers Beach when I was about 17 years old.

Know the water relatively well but do rely on smartphone nav maps. I was also concerned about covid coverage when going to the US as everything here in Canada is free. Called the credit card company and we each get up to $5,000,000 in case of covid related problems so I am comfortable and insured by just using my card to pay for the airfare.

I was referring to insurance on the boat... either for damage to the boat or liabilities.

Included with the rental, nothing extra to pay.

First year in a very, very long time with no winterizing or taking care of a big boat for the winter.......all we have now is a 17' fishing/runabout.....we will miss Florida though.....looking forward to next year, lot's of positive outlooks.....

We even moved to a warmer part of the province.....
