Built-in Coffee Maker replacement

Not really a boating question....seems like the most common things on land become complicated on a boat.
Our 350 Mariner has a built-in Black and Decker 12 cup Spacemaker coffee maker above/behind the sink. Doesn't work right even after cleaning (only can brew half pot), want to replace it. So how does a person get the thing out without busting up plastic? There are no screws/bolts through to the cabinet above. It seems like would have to disassemble the cabinet to get at the space above the coffee maker. Cannot find any instructions on internet about how this apparent old model Space Maker is fastened to the cabinet. Do I have to cut/break plastic and bring out the hammer?!
Second issue is then to find something that will fit in in the opening, which is 13in wide and 10.5in tall. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
