I'm sorry, I'm new to Carver boats and have what I think is a stupid question. In my Aft cabin under an access panel, There is a thick hose that leads outside to the bottom of my boat and has a shutoff valve. what exits or enters in this hose?

My grandfather once told me the only stupid or dumb question is the one you don't ask. Actually though there is a lot of knowledge here. We need more specific information like the year and model of your Carver for starters.

Someone here should be able to assist you.

thin white hose: water pickup for toilet
thick white hose: enriched water from toilet overboard :-D

but post some pictures and you'll be sure.

That looks like it is an inlet for either your a/c or your head. Follow the line and see where it goes.

Ok, so must be for the head because I dont have AC. I thought the water from the toilet came from the fresh water tank.

Put your phone down there and take a pic under the flooring......sometimes a bright light and a mirror helps to see behind things.

That vintage carver most likely has a raritan head with raw water flush, not freshwater flush. Take a pic of the hoses at the base of the head and post it here when you can.
