I have seen people rig up pool noodles around the bow, not sure if that really works or not.....the other is to use 2 anchors to hold the boat to keep it from swinging into the wind at all times. Stern to shore comes to mind, but maybe where you are it is just mooring cans, in that case ya gotta let it swing with everyone else.
Some models have the same issue but comes from under the swim platform.
Funny story , we had that once, woke me from a deep sleep, thought there was something wrong with the boat. Turned out to be a raft of ducks picking stuff off the side of the hull, what a racket LOL.

I seem to remember using the pool noodle thing, didn't help that much........That noise does kill a great night sleep. Speaking of weird things, near us was another boat and he had the genny on all night till 10am. Bloody dangerous if you ask me.....

One of the reasons I moved from a fwd v berth boat to a aft cabin boat. Plus the wife had some other requirements.

Seems like the pool noodle thing would have to work, but you might have to play with it with different sizes and how it's configured.
Once you ID exactly where it's coming from you could probably even rig a small section of tarp or heavy plastic. Rig a couple grommets on it to hold it to some deck cleats or the railing and have another line that connects the port side section with the starboard sides section going under the boat. It would guide the water out and away from the chine before it could 'slap' into it.

Tom is on the most practical track IMO. It's way easier to program or trick your brain than fight Mother Nature or modify your boat. There are sleep aid apps where you can play different sounds on your phone to help you fall asleep; white noise, rain, water falls, chirping birds, etc. It would help drown out the noise you find annoying. Try it and let us know if it works. Might take some time to train your brain because at first it'll be focused on picking up the slapping sound but I suspect eventually you won't hear it.
