I hope this message finds you well. I recently acquired a 1989 34' Santego, and I’m in a bit of a bind. Unfortunately, the drain plug wasn’t removed over the winter, and I’m having difficulty locating it. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could share a picture or diagram indicating its location. I’ve managed to remove a significant amount of water using a trash pump, but there’s still a concerning amount left in the bilge and below in the engine area.

I seriously doubt that there is a “drain plug” ( otherwise known as a garboard plug like you find on runabouts) on the 89 3467 Santego, as it’s approximately 38’ in LOA and is not a typically trailerable boat. I know on my 89 3867 Santego there isn’t one. I understand hating any standing water in the bilge. What I cannot pump out using the bilge pumps, I use a wet/dry vacuum to remove. In fact, I keep one stored on my Santego specifically for this purpose.

Welcome....is the boat out of the water now ? if so just look underneath along the keel ....start at the stern/aft area.
