Rideau lake to Georgian Bay

Postby daveS » October 12th, 2017, 10:07 pm

We're planing to drive our 350 mariner from Rideau Farry marine to Georgian Bay in spring 2018.
Looking for others that are doing the same trip to follow.
Just for the sanity of my first mate...lol

Dave,

Get yourself a Dock Links membership. You will get fuel discounts, free pump outs and half price marina stays along the way.

www.docklinks.ca

Also, check out my post of travelling the Trent Severn from Lake Ontario to Gbay. I have done it many times and posted the article to a blog a few years back.

If you need any advice with the TSW, don't hesitate to PM me. What is your final destination in Gbay?

For another good resource for the Trent Portion of this trip you should check out Boats Beaches and Bars on Youtube.

Welcome to the 350 club there is now a few of us in the Georgian Bay area now... I am at Beacon Bay.

Heh Dave....
There is another publication that I found helpful going north from Trenton years ago and that is the Ports Cruising guides books series. You may have them but I thought to mention it anyway, usually at a discount at the boat show ( which is coming quickly).Lyndons account is pretty good ,heh............. :beergood:
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

FYI, Dock Links has added 2 more partner marinas in the Rideau, with a third on the way. One of them offers a fuel discount to Dock Links members - you can fuel up there and get a .03/litre discount and then get a .05/litre discount at Crates in Belleville, the next partner Marina.

Up to 30 partner marinas now, with a handful more being added before the Toronto International Boat Show in January.
