What a great feeling. Back in the slip today with a freshly painted bottom after a long winters nap. Only problem is whoever did the zincs last time used regular screws. They had to cut and grind every single one. I don't want to see the bill LOL.

Break Out Another Thousand seems to be an accurate acronym for us boat owners.

We should be in the water this Wednesday.
It was 81 degrees Thursday, we have a frost warning tonight. Hopefully we have some regular spring weather soon!

Hopefully be in soon here too! Waters up and the floating break wall is out. Water is on at the slip along with the electric. Just at the mercy of the marina now! Grrrrr!

Way to busy this years with loads of stuff, will be a later launch for me. Probably around mid May at best. -3c here this morning and everyone on the water is flooded out. Pretty nasty historical flooding in the Montreal area happening now.
Pepmyster, how are the water levels in the 1000 islands right now?

Hello All! Jhawk, congrats on the launch, let the fuel flow and happy juice begin, but not at the same time. Water levels are an interesting topic. Went to visit marina yesterday. Water looks higher than last season by a good 8 inches! A few years ago, we had to build access ladders to get down to the boat safely. Now we have to think about steps to get up, and over the side. There is still low level flooding in the rivers near marina. Beaches have disappeared. A lot of floating debris in the bay, junk that washed in off the shoreline of river. Will have to cruise pretty slow on the way across from launch point to marina. Fingers crossed for good start up on May 6. On a more tasty note, Fire Department smelt fry fundraiser this weekend. Finally going to get my fresh smelt dinner after a long wait. Just love those little buggers!
