Ceiling leather patch?

Postby Pete » February 2nd, 2020, 1:39 am

I found a spot on the "leather" ceiling that looks like it might have been patched...it was kind of gummy and somewhat sticky. When I touched it, it got worse. Anyone familiar with what this is? Thx.

Not familiar with it, but is it near the head? Almost looks like a burn from a curling iron. There is a product called Tear-Aid that is pretty good. Would improve the look but still have a seam. I have used it for small tear in my Strataglass and it handles stretch and humidity real well. I think it comes in white and clear. My ceiling vinyl is white, and the shade is pretty close. 8-) er

It's above the bed opposite side of the aft cabin from the head. At first it looked like small clump, then I touched it and it stretched. It is more of an elastic stretch than a tear. I feel like if I mask it off, i might be able to come at it with a razor blade and shave off the edge skin. Not sure if I'm that bold yet.

Yea, that's what I would do. Trim up with a razor blade, throw a patch on it. Funny no one else has chimed in yet. 8-) er
