Welcome aboard!
Can't help you with a review other than Carver generally makes great boats.
If you are new to boating you might also take a power squadron class on safe boating.
You don't know what you don't know. ...

The 29 Monterey was built on the 2897/2827/2807 hull. Built with straight inboards and a little lighter than those because of the "lack of cabin" The boat has a great exterior and a day boat interior with a small setee, a dinette, galley and head. She ran pretty well and had an innovative, for the time, walk thru windshield to the foredeck, as there were no side decks on her. Originally, light gray hull with dark gray stripe, then white hull with burgundy or blue stripe. Typical Carver construction...which is good, but have it surveyed for structural and electrical issues
