I have a 2001 Carver 396 Aft Cabin and wondering if anyone else out there has put a bow ladder on one of these. This year's model has a 3 rail railing on the bow and it leans outward. Too high to step over. Thought of hinging the top rail but it still leans outward and would still be difficult. Hoping someone has done this with a 2001 and can provide some pointers. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I've got the same vessel & year model. Never have seen a bow ladder on a 396 and do not know if Carver offers the option. It would be difficult to board and debark due the anchor, rigging, and high railing off the bow. The only Vessel I've seen with a bow ladder option is the Blue Water Yacht, but they are very shallow draft and bow reinforced for beaching. You might want to take a look at Blue Water Yachts Bow Ladder to get some ideas. Good Luck!
