Hi,
I fill all my tanks up and have no issues planning. Carver once told me to drain the main tanks first then the aux tanks. Unless I go on a trip, It takes me a few months to burn through all the fuel. I run the boat a couple hours every weekend to one weekend I'll use main tanks then aft tanks. I alternate to run the fuel through the filters and polish it. I make sure to go through all the fuel every year no matter what - not good stored for long time...
I've also learned that storing full of fuel over the winter causes my tanks to get water where as empty I get no water. So it's completely the opposite of what most say. When I used to fill the tanks for winter storage I was always getting water in the racors. The fuel absorbs the water, the empty space in the tank does nothing - at least this is what I discovered.
