Mounting a Vulcan or Rocna Anchor on a 405/406 Carver

I'm in the process of purchasing a very nice 1998 Carver 405. If it passes survey and mechanical I want to replace the current anchor with either a Rocna with the roll bar or the Rocna-Vulcan. The 405/406 has no bowsprit but the Vulcan has quite a different shaped arch shaped shaft and the other model has the roll bar. Given how the anchor locked hatch is configured I wondering if there are issues with mounting either of these types of anchors. Have any other owners installed these?
Thanks
Frank

I have a 405 I haven't used either of the anchors you've mentioned but I think the rocna with roll bar may be ok but I think the vulcan with that curve may cause a problem stowing it.

Just a followup on this topic. I recently added a ROCNA 25kg (55lb) to my Carver 405. Fits perfect and the windlass handles the anchor and all chain rode just fine. Feels good to have a properly sized anchor for it's weight and windage.

All - I installed a Rocna 25kg on my '89 3607. Fits perfectly. I think it is more secure than the Delta that was on the boat but only one season so far. Hard to say for sure but I am happy with the purchase.

I too mounted a 25kg Rocna on my 3607. No issues whatsoever with the bow roller assembly.
Better than the Delta (only 1 season to compare).
