Hello I am looking at a Carver 410 Sport Sedan and wondering if I could get some feedback from owners of the identical boat. This one has twin 8.1's and the mechanic at the marina told me he has been the one to launch and subsequently slip the boat for the current owner for the past 10 years and he said "it's a great boat just a little squirrely to handle. He's not a boat owner/experienced helmsman so I could blow it off but figured I'd ask here. Has anyone experienced less that desirable performance around the dock? It has bow and stern thrusters but the aren't my go to if I can help it.

Welcome aboard. I've piloted them a few times and don't recall any handling issues but I don't own one so I haven't been in all conditions with them. The two thrusters will definitely help in close quarter maneuvering though. Hopefully a member who owns one will chime in.

I have a 410 with the same engines. I don’t have any thrusters and manage fine, always back into my slips. The engines have more than enough power around the dock.
Let me know if you have any specific questions.
