Mariner 350 leak in rear of salon over coach and fuse panel

All,

When my boat was in storage this year the Marina shored it very bow high which is not how my 350 usually sits. Before she was shrink wrapped I had water coming in at the rear of the salon by the coach and wetting the rear fuse panel compartment. I looked everywhere for the source of this leak so that I can stop it. Has anyone had the same issue or any idea where it may be coming from?

Not sure about the mariner layout, but the big windows on all of these carvers are notorious for leaking. I would start there.

I ran into the same issue when blocked like that.....there have been others with that same leak area ending by rotting the corner wood of the breaker panel. Remember this boat is a kind of liner design, so any water even from the front windshield areas can flow back underneath the top sections.

My solution was as follows..... reseal the big side window and windshield area....the factory seal shrinks over time and a gap opens up at the joints especially on the sunny side....sealed the arch plastic access covers and where the railing attaches to the arch......check the seal around the top of the sliding door.....that hardtop is hollow and can fill with water if the side seals are bad, there is no drain so I drilled drain holes under the rear overhang section above the door almost the furthest rearward one on each side. Also reseal anything mounted on the arch....don't forget to inspect the antenna fittings......this did seem to work for us although we did not have the boat much longer so in the long term, not sure........good luck with it....

Thank you Bud37, those will be on my list for resealing this spring. Hope the windshield seal does not require removing the glass. I think they used to come shipped without the windshield and there are many screws to remove.
