I just bought a 1984 3207 and it still has the TV cable port and cable connections in the three cabins. Does any one still have these and use them? It seems like a hot spot is really all the family needs.

They're okay if you use a TV antenna on the boat for local stations. Some people also hook up to an antenna or satellite dish at their slip in the marina. I use my hot spot for most stuff though, I don't do much local TV and not really much to choose from in my area anyway.

We use ours. We have cable tv at the dock included in our marina fees that gives us 40ish channels. We have a Shakespeare amplified antenna on the radar arch that feed into a switch box for the cable. We can usually get at least 20 channels in full hd when anchored out with this antenna.

Ours was similar, but the last year their system didn't work because of the high water levels. None of them were HD channels but were good for entertainment or news. I also used an antenna and just plugged it into the side of the boat and could get the locals in HD.
