Sealant for Salon Window

Hi all,
I have a 2005 41 CMY.
While docking I hit the aluminum rub rail of my neighbor with my lower port aft salon window.
Not a pretty sight.
I was able to reach out to Carver at the time to get the part number and OEM glass manufacture.
My glass guy is looking to see what Carver used to seal, caulk the glass with. Now that Carver isn't around I'm looking for someone that is familiar with the process. Trend Marine the OEM gave me a rough guide for the installation. My glass guy wants to verify what it is they used at the factory.
Any help would be a great help. It took 2 months for the window to arrive from England.
Thanks for reading.

I would use the same sealant used for auto windshields, a modified urethane.

I replaced a few windows in the past although they were Lexan/Plexiglass. Product recommended to me was Sikaflex 295UV which worked really well. i used double sided sticky tape in a few areas to hold the window in its proper position which also makes it "float" which IMHO is very important. I used something similar to this which was narrower and thinner. This will give you an idea of what I used but at 1/8" is too thick. https://www.uline.ca/Product/Detail/S-7 ... &gclsrc=ds. The Sika surround is what holds it in place once cured and slight movement of the boat will be absorbed by the Sika.

Found this video which may be of help.
