Dear Carver owners,

I am looking to buy a 3607/3807 model and arrange transport for it. I love the model and would be a great upgrade to my current 3007. The dimensions for transport are pretty critical however. I am looking for the height measurement as if the flybridge was removed. Is there an owner that can help me with finding these dimensions? I would be immensely grateful.

I can't help out specifically with that question, but I did have a 3607. There are a couple folks on here that have moved 3607s though, so I hope they see your post and weigh in with what they learned. There was also some contact info for a shipper who did a lot of the OEM shipments for Carver on here somewhere and they would probably have that info too. There were also a lot of 3607s produced and shipped all over the country, so any good shipper that's been around or a while probably has experience with one and might be able to help you too.

EDIT - I just noticed the flag in your profile, and it doesn't look like you're from the USA. Sorry, my mistake but maybe there's someone who has some email contacts at various shippers here who might be able to forward that as a lead.

We managed to move our 3607 without removing the fly bridge. Height was 14 foot 6 inches ( 4.45 meters ). We did remove the rudders and props to get there. The mover knew the route so was able to verify the one lower bridge ( 15 feet clearance ).

Thank you for the replies guys! The boat will be shipped to Europe, and this is only affordable if the total height can be reduced to less than four meters. Denders, would you say that removing the flybridge will lead to a decrease of >45cm?

I won't commit with out taking a measuring tape to the boat , and it is currently shrink wrapped and under at least 2 meters of snow. I kept trying to get the mover out to measure things to confirm but they would not do that. What year are you looking at purchasing. Our boat is a 1985 , at somepoint the styling changes and my measurements won't work.

Below are the dimensions for a 3607 from the 1982 marketing brochure. If you look at the draft (38") and the height (bridge clearance when in the water) of 11'9" then the total top-to-bottom measurement would be 14' 11", or about 4.5 meters.

Taking off the rudders and props, you'll reduce that by a little bit, but not much as the boat also had a nearly full keel. You might gain another 6-8". That would correspond closely to denders numbers, especially considering they still needed some ground clearance for the trailer.

If you did remove the bridge, I think you'd gain close to 1M. You'd have to remove the bridge surround (not real hard, but awkward), the aft seating (easy) and then the fiberglass helm structure. That means disconnecting all the helm wires (most all have OEM plugs for that purpose, but any owner-installed stuff would have to be cut or removed), the control cables for throttle and shift, and the hoses for the upper station steering.

Do you have to allow for a cradle or trailer or something else to support the boat?

KM, are you sure those specs are accurate? I have a friend that has an 88 or 89 3607 and it is longer and wider than my 355.
My 355 is a bit over 41' LOA and I believe 13'3" beam.
Thier 36 is definitely bigger than my 355.

Yes, but they don't include the bow pulpit and swim platform which were options. Although I did see something printed that said all of the 3607s had the bow pulpit. I think having both add 5-6 ft, resulting in an overall length about 41'.

The 3607 definitely had less beam though then a 355/356, and I know that 12'6" is right on the money.

Maybe it's just the layout, but the 36 seems to be much wider than my 355. I thought it was nearly the same as the 405.
